What is SEO? Why is it important, and most importantly, why should you implement it in the website you build?

SEO is short for search engine optimization. SEO is how we get our content to rank high in the search results on search engines.
All major search engines, like Google, Bing and Yahoo have search results, where web pages and other content are shown in a ranked order based on what said search engine considers to be the most relevant to what a user searched for. For these types of results, you do not pay the search engine, you do it “organically”, with SEO.

The bottom line is this, if you want people to find your website, to be able to find your product or your content, SEO is an absolute must. It is a never ending, on-going process. Your competitors are doing it. They aren’t stopping, and they are always fighting for a higher ranking then you. It’s only logical to defend your position, and try to move up in the rankings on a regular basis. And you can do so, with SEO, search engine optimization!
